Single-phase asynchronous motors can be used in a wide variety of applications, particularly for "home" environments.
They are available in the MEC range from size 56 to size 100, in versions B3, B5 and B14.
The rotor is of a squirrel cage type and the stator has two windings: a main (running) and an auxiliary (starter). They are designed to be powered with single-phase alternating voltage at 230V and 50Hz frequency. Different voltages and / or frequencies are available on request.
They can be “high starting torque” if they have additional capacitors, making them suitable for heavy-duty applications. (eg compressors, elevators, etc.)
